Leather Tassel Necklace

I've made tassel necklaces before using small curtain tassels, but recently I had seen leather tassels in the bead aisle at some craft stores.  So, one day I made a quick stop at Hobby Lobby on my way home from work and picked up some leather cord, a couple tassels, and two initial charms.

The tassel went in the middle, of course.

I have this small collection of green beads.  Green is my favorite color, so I've been collecting neat ones I see or ones from broken necklaces.

The cord would not fit on many of the beads.  First, I searched through my needles to see if I had any large enough for the cord. I have TONS of needles from my grandma.  Most are in these 'Moore's' packages.  The needles didn't work out, so instead I cut both ends on a angle making it thin enough to fit the beads on.

After much finagling and rearranging, this is what I decided on.  The beads on the end are really tight on the cord, but I like that because it keeps everything in place!
