Striped Infinity Scarf

I have been seeing a lot of these color-block infinity scarfs around.  So, the last time I was in the fabric story, I checked out the knit material and they had stripes!!!  I got some navy striped and plain navy to make my scarf (1 yard of each).

Folding the material in half, I cut it 21 inches (or 42 inches total unfolded).

Then I cut the lenght 38 inches.  Make sure you cut the striped material the direction you want the stripes to go.  I wanted mine horizontal.

I cut the same size out of navy material.  Next I sewed the two ends together so I had one LONG piece of material 42 inches wide and 76 inches (38 + 38) long.

Next folded the long piece in half and sewed down the long side.

Then I turned the long 'tunnel' of material right side out.  I folded the navy end in a little and then just slid the striped piece in and pinned.

Then I just sewed it together.

And here is the finished scarf!!

  1. Could I love this more? Doubtful. You've inspired me to dust off my sewing machine and give this a go. Love!
