Valentine Felt Pins

I made a bunch of these little heart pins to give out to friends and family for Valentine's day.  It took me about 1.5 hours to whip up 8 of these.

Embroidery floss
Pinking sheers
Pillow stuffing

I used my heart cookie cutter and some cardboard from the recycling bin to make my pattern.

I simply traced the heart on to the felt with a vanishing marker and cut them out using my pinking sheers.  Two felt hearts per pin are needed.

Around the edge, I did a simple running stitch.

When I got almost done, I stuffed with pillow filling.

On the back, I stitched a little gold pin.

And that's it!

So I made a few...

Then a few more....

 Then...well, I couldn't stop...

I made these little cards...

And the girls put these together for their teachers.

  1. Very cute! I love the stitching Wendy! Thanks for linking up to my Pin Me party!

  2. Looks like a great idea and easy enough for the kids to make for school valentines! Thanks for sharing!

  3. These are adorable!!!

  4. Your little heart pins are the greatest, good job. So cute and what a nice little gift for the ladies or even some of the guys. I think a project that's cheap and quick is very appreciated. I just might have to make some. The ladies at the thrift store in next town to us sure deserve a little something for their efforts. Guess I'd better get busy huh?

  5. These are the most cutest things! Where did you find that polka-dot felt? I need some of that. I've pinned this for next V-Day so that my daughter and I can make some and hand them out next year!
