I made the pattern pretty simple for these and here's how I did it.
1. - Circle.
2- Flat line near the bottom.
3- Half circle above line.
4- Short line on the left and sketched in the leg/trunk. Can you see it....
5- Punch a little heart pattern for it as well.
After the pattern was made, I cut the felt and added button eyes.
For the tails, I used some yarn I already had....3 strains, braided.
First I stitched the heart and eye on.
Then I did a blanket stitch around the edge being sure to sew on the top loop for hanging and the little tail.
Next stuff him from the bottom. I used a pencil to get the stuffing into the legs and trunk.
Then stitch him all the way up and done! (Yes, I pretty much always sew while watching HGTV or the Food Network.)
Then I sewed a whole bunch more....

I absolutely love these. I adore elephants and am going to have to make some of these to hang around my house. Thanks for sharing.

Cute! I love elephants! My mom and I collect them. I love that you showed how you drew these because I can't draw, but I feel like I can make these. I found this via the Diana Rambles Pin Me party, so I am definitely pinning this!
