Ice Cube Snowglobe Soaps!

12Days of Christmas Crafts - Day 10

made these with the girls for Christmas gifts.  This was my first time making soap and I was surprised by how easy it was.  I first saw this idea here.

Supplies:
Ice cube tray
soap dye
soap glitter
small toys or ornaments
soap sent
block of glycerine soap
box of white soap (like Dove)

I had B start shaving off bits of the Dove soap to use as snow on the bottom of our soaps.

Following the directions on the glycerin soap, I melted it and added blue soap dye as well as a few drops of scent.  I also added some of the glitter here as well.

Then I poured the soap into the ice cube trays and let it set-up for a minute or so.

After it had hardened slightly, we pushed the little ornaments into each ice cube and sprinkled the snow shavings on top.

Once they were fully solid, they just popped out and we had little snow globe soaps to give as gifts!

  1. Hi there, I love your soaps! Great idea!
Where can one get those plastic ornaments you put into your soaps? I see things like that all the time but we live in Africa, so I haven't found them here. Maybe online?
