Gift Card Holder

This is a quick and easy way to make a gift card holder out of some left over material.

Here's what you need:
scrap material
measuring tape
iron on velcro

Cut a rectangle of material that is 4.5 inches x 7.5 inches.  You will need two coordinating pieces of material for each holder (one for the lining and one for the outside).

If your material is not a heavy weight, iron on some interfacing.

Next sew the tops of two of the short ends together and iron down the seams.

Then iron down the edge all the way around, it should be about 1/4 inch border.

Then sew it all the way around.  You will end up with coordinating material on each side.

Iron the side down to make a pocket for the card.

Then sew up the edges, like so...  Slide the card in to make sure it fits!!

Next, just iron on the Velcro and you are done!

These also make great little change purses, credit card or business card holders as well.
