Four Leaf Clover Pin

I made a bunch of flowers at Christmas to use as bows on all our packages.  Using that same idea, I made a few 4-leaf clover pins for St. Patrick's Day.

Here is what you need:
Scrap material (mostly green)
Green felt
Green thread
Scissors
Paper
Buttons
Pins

Make a clover template and flower template out of paper.  The clover just needs to be a 3-leaf clover.

Pin the clover to the green felt and cut out, you will need one felt clover for each pin.

Next pin and cut-out flowers from the scrap material, you will need 7 flowers per pin.

Fold one flower in quarters, so you have a heart.

Repeat with another flower and stack them on top of each other.  I chose to do different patterns, but you could do matching as well.

Place on felt clover and tack in place in the center.

Repeat the above for the second and third leaves.

For the fourth leaf, I just used one flower folded into a heart and I tacked it a little off center, so you could see the stem of the clover.

Next sew a button to the center of the hearts to cover where each leaf is tacked on in the middle.

Glue a pin to the back of each clover.

That's it!  Here are several I made this year.
