'What I Wore' Wednesday - New Year's Eve

For New Year's Eve, we had a big party in the barn at our farm.  Mr. Mac's cousin, T and I did the decorations.  We kept it pretty simple along with some colored Christmas lights down the railings of the barn (unfortunately I did not get any pictures of them).  Here are some pictures of the 'setting up'.

Having a party in a barn in Winter, poses some fashion challenges.  The barn is not heated, but we had two space heaters that kept things a little warm.  So, I dressed in layers and added as the night went on.

Hat,gray ls t-shirt,red flannel-Target; bunny sweatshirt-Urban Outfitters; lace tank-Anthropologie; mittens-American Eagle; skinnies-Loft; boots-Blowfish (via Ross); sparkly pin on hat-inherited from my Grandma

I know this is not your 'typical' New Year's Eve outfit, but when your going to be in a barn where it will be a little chilly, you have to improvise.  My outfit was inspired by this post.  As the night went on, I just added a scarf, then my coat for late night.

Here's a few pictures...we had food at one end, dancing in the middle and a little cornhole at the far end.  Outside were burning barrels as well.

Happy New Year!  I hope you did something fun to celebrate!
