Toilet Paper Pumpkin

I originally saw this craft at my daughter's school Fall Festival a couple years ago.  This year I made them with my Sunday School class and it was a HUGE hit!  We read The Pumpkin Patch Parable: Special Edition (Parable Series)  and then made the pumpkins!

Here is what you need:
Toilet paper roll
Brown grocery bag
Green felt

Cut the fabric to about 20" by 20 ".  Put the toilet paper roll in the center and start wrapping, tucking the fabric into the hole.

Cut the felt into a leaf shape as shown and gather a few pieces of straw.  Cut a rectangle out of the grocery bag and fold it into a long rectangle.

Fold the paper bag piece in half and put some straw on it, just hold it in place.

Then wrap the leaf cut-out around the paper bag/straw, like so....

Stick this into the top of your pumpkin!

And ta-da!  You have a pumpkin!

My Sunday School class crosses multiple age groups (3 year olds - 5th graders) and they all LOVED making this!

P.S. I am joining in on this handmade ornament swap, all the info is at the below link if you are interested in participating!
